AMD noob M4A88TD-V EVO

Hey guys,

Ok I'm a noob,
been doing a lot of research and assembling parts for my first build. I like gaming but i know i wont be doing a lot of it so the computer is going to be a workhorse workstation i.e. Audio/Video editing and the usual crap email, youtube, etc Some games and flight simulation

I am shopping for RAM and It looks like Gskill and Corsair are tied .

My question is: what kind of RAM/Latency will work best for A/V applications. i.e.
1.) 7-7-7-7 or 9-9-9-9 ? and
2.) 1033, 1066, 1600, ?? I'm not sure.



So far heres what the build is looking like:

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) 
STORAGE: ~ 1.) Primary OS/Programs RAID 0 * SAMSUNG 470 Series MZ-5PA128/US 2.5" 128GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Lower timings (latency) play a bigger factor than the MHz (DDR3 speed).

I would look for the combination of lowest timings (Latency) and higher MHz (speed) on the Memory QVL for your motherboard. This gives you the best performance and compatibility.
