it says 8.1 and 7. I have win 8. Is it ok to install it on win 8.

It should also work, according to this download link. It does have some special instructions, though: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%208%20-%2064

Why wouldn't you upgrade to 8.1, though? It's a free upgrade

Just to avoid any problems, make sure you upgrade win to 8.1 first so you won't have any compatibility issues.
