Hi, I was noticing that the ddr3 prices have spiked. I have a Xeon e3 1230v1 I just bought for like $60, and now need some ram. Some listings are showing cheaper memory, but it says that it's only AM3 and AM3+ compatible.

So does it work with sandy bridge xeon? Specs are 3.8ghz 4C/8T

Solution
These DDR3 modules would work, but only at official JEDEC DDR3 settings.
That means 7-7-7-20-27 at 1066 MHz (533 actual), there will be no XMP, may not have more than dual channel support, and overclocking will be severely limited.
