Hi guys. I am stuck in a situation between:

Intel:
Core i5 2500k & GTX 560 & Asus Maximus Gene Z = R7500

AMD:
AMD Phenom ii x4 Black Edition & MSI HD 6850 & Asus Crosshair iv Formula = R6000

Considering that I live in SA the dollar equivalent will equal to:
Intel Build: R7500 = $940
AMD Build: R6000 = $750

Should I rather wait for Ivy Bridge CPU's to come out and the Nvidia 600 series before I buy the Intel setup, or should I grab the cash I have and get the AMD setup?

I made this question to myself some months ago, André. And I choose AMD. As we know, in Brazil our prices have some unfair taxes, which makes Intel settings much more expensive than AMD. It's like 1/3 of the price!

Vai de AMD, amigo!
Well considering price...and I dont know how it is living over there in SA...I would go with the AMD build and save like 200 bucks. It will give probably about 80-90% performance of the Intel build, but your saving 200 bucks...and its almost xmas (if you do that kind of thing).

Plus it has a better video card.

If you want to wait....ivy bridge i heard is going to be coming around the Q2 of 2012 so that's a while to wait.

AMD has only said that it won't be there focus. Not that they would stop building processors. I bought a Bulldozer about 2weeks after the initial reviews because I wanted 8 cores in the future. Benches will get better.
