AMD or Intel build buy question

Dear people

I need some help please. My apologies for possible bad english and lack of knowledge. I have two builds to buy a new (game) PC. My budget is around 800 euro but I could make it up to 950 if it should be really useful, needed or necessary. There are some things I want you to know first. I do not have a television. Because of this, when I am at home, my computer is almost always being used for watching movies or just surfing the internet. Then there are times when I play games for a very long periods of time say 5-10 hours long. Games I like and would like to play are mmorpg's, new assassin creed games, the witcher 3, batman arkham knight or less demanding games like legends of eisenwald and risen and the new upcoming releases of might and magic, the new hitman, black ops 3 et cetera.

I would like to know what build I should choose that is more suitable for a computer being used for many hours every day and to play (including newly released) games for many hours. I do not need a hard disk as I already have one. I am from the Netherlands so I chose a dutch website with very good reviews and reputation and assembled these two builds :

Firstly, is there anything you can use from your PC you already have now?
Second. I would not go with the AMD Bulldozer at this time, AMD as well as Intel have new processors to be released later this year.
If your on a limited budget you can either get your GPU now and have less options everywhere else, or save a few more pennies and grab something on sale , maybe the gtx 970 will come down some. who knows.
One part i will advise not to get is the Gigabyte lower end model motherboard as they have been the topic of some debate. It may be to retailers not updating the rev number or pictures.
If your gonna go with an unlocked i5 or i7 , get a motherboard not only capable of overclocking, but with a hefty VRM as well. You may have to sink some time and thought and a bit more money for a motherboard with the features and good power design.

But if your need some cheap then i know the MSI B85M G43 and MSI B85M G41 will leave you with some money to put elsewhere in your build.

To answer your first question Vitric9 no there is absolutely nothing usable from my current computer and it is also more then six years old. I should have mentioned I have no intention for overclocking any hardware.

I have read your article but it is way to complex for me to understand it I'm sorry. I have also no intention of waiting as I would like to place an order today. I think I want to go with an intel build now based on the responds. Does it really matter much if there is no updating the rev number or pictures? If it does I could switch to the Gigabyte Z97X Gaming-3 model in the build which will be total build price of 853,82 Euro if that would be more recommended for your suggestion? I just want to play the new and upcoming games, but it doesn't need to be ultra settings I would be satisfied with high as well. I really just want to keep things simple if possible. Do you feel like I should get the GTX 970 4gb instead of the GTX 960 for my needs? Would you both recommend to combine the i5 with the Z97X Gigabyte instead of the lower model? I really do not know much of this but It could be done. If so, preferably with the gtx 960. All I want is a reliable good (game) pc to be able to work many hours a day mainly for watching movies and playing (latest) games.

KNARF XD thank you very much for that build you have created. I don't need a hard disk though. I also would really like to not build it on my own and preferably make my order on the dutch website so I do not need to build it myself you see 🙁

Don't worry about the article, it primarily is referring to ga-b85m-hd3 . So the one you mentioned does not apply. Your good. If not overclocking you could save a lot of pennies and get near any board with a decent review. Newegg is one site use frequently from all the user reviews.

Ok, forgive me but I have changed my mind. If it is better, I would not mind building it myself. The build that KNARF XD has created looks pretty good to me. Minus the hard disk that I do not need the price would be 810 Euro. This would be the build:

the pc will be delivered later, but fully build.it is 60 euro though.
and if you are satisfied with 1080p high, then there is no need for the 970, the 380 or for that matter 960 is good enough for this job. but the 380 is better than the 960, so i would go with the 380, but the 960 is more energy efficient. your choice :)
