AMD or INTEL for gaming?

AMD have better multi proccessor performance while Intel has better single core performance. Generally you want Intel for your gaming needs as they have better performance per core and that is what is important for gaming.

Depends on your budget. See this: http://youtu.be/kiQV7SFoZq4

Took the words right out of my mouth lol. I'd say if your budget is under $800 for just the system, go with AMD. Otherwise, you want Intel.

You mean multi-threaded applications like video rendering. If your budget is high, Intel actually does better in every category.

To tell you the truth right now i have no budget. I wanna know first which is the best and then thinking about the money. I play all kind of games such as World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Assasins Creed, MOBA games etc. So basically i need a good upgrade right now expecially for new generations games..

From what ive heard, Intel is better performance wise, whereas AMD would be preferable if working on a tight budget. Personally, whether broke or not, would always pick intel though. Id rather wait and save up for a good processor than be impatient and not be happy with what I have in the end.

If you are just going to use the PC for gaming and really care about upgrade paths go Intel - G3258< i3< i5< Xeon E3< i7 IF not go AMD, which there is nothing wrong doing so. AMD - FX-63XX< 8320/e< 8350/e< 8370 (9000 series are useless compared to the i7 at the same price.)

Go with a FX-6300 if you do some slight video editing and play multi-threaded games, get an i3 of you play games that like less & powerful cores (i3 struggles sometimes in heavy games like BF4 on a 64 play map)

This is the order I choose when making builds:
G3258<FX6300<i5=83XX<Xeon<i7

Andrei, you're right on the money with : G3258<FX6300<i5=83XX<Xeon<i7

that aside, let's keep things like AMD's aging chipset in mind here. AMD is the underdog in the market right now, and AM3+ is getting old. you can rest assured that if the rumored Zen CPU comes out in 2016, it will be on a new socket, and most motherboard manufacturers are likely to drop driver support for AM3+ stuff shortly after.

so again, if you're on a budget, get AMD as that'll get you going for now. for the long run Intel is a better bet (for budgets greater than $800-900). an unlocked i5 from Sandybridge (2012) and beyond will get you everything you need when it comes to gaming.

Thanks for best answer btw
