Amd Or Intel??

I’m having a really hard time picking what CPU I should get for my pc. My gpu is gtx 1060 3gb. I’m currently trying to pick between ryzen 5 1600 or i3 8100, 8350k or i5 6600k. Currently I’m leaning toward the intel cpus since the higher FPS for most of the games but my friend is telling me the ryzen 5 1600 will do a lot better in future games and less cpu usage + stutter. I’m keeping cost and FPS in mind. What should I get???

Strictly speaking, the Intel offerings will offer better performance at stock speeds.

The Ryzen offering though, is a great "bang for your buck" option, and can OC to remove most (sometimes all) of the discrepancy between it vs a comparable Intel's stock speeds.

Of course, most comparable Intel offerings can OC too, so will push ahead again - but I'd personally opt for the Ryzen5 1600.

I wouldn't but a 4 core/thread cpu. Either 8400/8600k or Ryzen. That's my opinion.
