Question AMD or Intel

Looking to build a pc for P3D, this is what I have picked

I'm aiming for High - Ultra settings with hopefully minimum 30fps

However, I've since been told that AMD would be better for frame rates and performance. I have 24 hours to make my choice before they build it.

Is the I9 9900K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700x or 3900x be better for Gaming / P3D?

Well there's not much gas but the 9900K is better for gaming and the 9900K performs differently depending on what board you put it in. However you are wasting a boatload of money here that could be put into the rest of the system. Confused as to why you're putting 2 different GPUs in there too.

As alterations:

I'd swap the CPU to a 3700X, the board to a 150-200 X570

Drop the cooler down to a solid air cooling unit, if the be quiet Shadow rock slim fits in the case I'd use that. You could drop the cooler completely as you don't get much OC out of Ryzen, if anything it performs better in games when you let it boost itself.

Drop the 1000W PSU down to a solid 650-750W unit

Drop both GPU's and run a 2080 or 2080Ti whatever you can afford.

Remember AMD only support 5 displays and only 3 in XF so you'd have to run it separately. Not familiar with the software but recommended spec for V4 is a 1080Ti... though the CPU spec is only a quad core. Also if you're running multiple GPUs look at the PCIE lanes as you'll need preferably a full bandwidth on both cards. a TR1920X might come in handy there.

Thanks for your reply, having looked at a youtube video, its does seem that AMD is the way to go with a board using PCIE-4.0,

The reason for the 2 different GPUs is, They are both from the RX series and AMD confirmed the same driver will work for both cards.. If I use the RX5700 for the main display 2x 27" screen linked as 1 display.. and the RX580 (which I already have) as my panel displays only. I cant afford to drop in another RX 5700 at this stage, maybe in a month or two.

The RX5700XT is the same as the RTX 2070s on spec and benchmark, but the AMD is obvisouly cheaper

So, is this system decent enough?
