hello,
while helping a friend with a problem, I am trying to establish wether or
not the cpu is from AMD.
there is an error-report, that mentions "CPU AMD feature code".
does this mean that the processor is an AMD ?
this in spite of the general tab of my computer-properties, were it says
Pentium 4.
thnks
Fred

Don't do that, simply do a search on any search engine for Wcpuid or cpu-z
and run them, it will tell you exactly what processor you have and what
speed etc it is running at.

My understanding is that A P4 runs feature code for compatibility
purposes. You will not see Pentium 4 in the "general" tab from anything
that isn't a Pentium 4 - I promise you!
