ok i got few doubt its firstly as ive mentioned overclocking is just finish my rendering fast ive tried 2 type of OCing so far yet one rasing only muiltiplier and another rasing bus frequency in both type of OC give sm temps though which one is now im on to The muiltiplier one get OC with slight less voltage then the other on but the bus frequency give me fsb-dram 3:8 and Fsb-dram now is 3:10

which one is better also as per u mentioned earlier reply to increase NB frequency to 2800-3000 buy bumping voltage of Cpu nb to 1.25-1.3v in order to raise my ram clock from 1333 to 1600
it was stable for sm hour but later on got blue screen error OF sm IRq.......

my pc also hits 70'c at tmpin1 and 2, and 60 at core/cpu
so if it is cpu then my cpu is running hot, but i think that it is nb, 😱
i will do some experiments on my pc to check if it is cpu or nb

If it requires less voltage for the same clocks I would stick with overclocking by the multiplier only. With the multiplier at 200 and your FSB : DRAM at 1:4 will give you your 1600 RAM clock.
I'm not sure I quite understood that last paragraph correctly but to clarify; you do not need to raise your NB frequency or CPU-NB voltage in order to achieve a higher RAM clock. It was just a suggestion assuming you had the thermal headroom and could maintain stability, as raising NB frequency does help performance a little.
In your case, if it requires an increase in voltage, I wouldn't set the NB too high. You should be able to set it to 2400 or possibly 2600 without needing a voltage increase though.

Was slightly disturbed until I realized that you must be using celcius, because Canadians like to make sense and use a logical system of temperature measurement. 😛

LOL! Yeah if it was 30° Fahrenheit in the summer I'd just shoot myself....err guess I wouldn't have to cuz I'd just freeze to death in my shorts and T-shirt.

Hey I always wondered....wth is canadian bacon anyway? Is that like a sliced roast ham? Cuz here we have bacon, and we have ham, but we don't have canadian bacon lol.

hi im new to overclocking and want to overclock my Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.01ghz to about 2.4 - 2.7ghz. can someone guide me though the process of this?

My Specs

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.01ghz
Socket AM2 (940)
Windsor
Core Voltage: 1.344 V
HT Link: 1004.6 MHz
RAM: 6gb DDR2

Motherboard: M2N32-SLI DELUXE

GPU: Asus GTX 560

so can anyone help?

Thanks

before you do you must read

hope this helps :)

Okay I would like to offer this OC for the Stable OC table
over two hours of Prime95

Cpu: PHII x 4 925 2.8ghz
Name: King smp
Stepping: C2
Frequency: 3500mhz
ref*multi: 250 x 14
CPU voltage: 1.53
CPU-NB: auto
nb frequency: 2500
NB volts: 1.22
RAM: 8GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 8-8-8-24-1T @ 1.5V
Motherboard: Asus M4A77TD 770
Cooling: Air cooling/CM Hyper N520
OS: 7 64-bit

Thank you for your consideration :)

also, it looks like that you are using 'cool and quite' because your vcore is fluctuating alot. :)

also it looks like that your psu is gonna blow. 😱

Also try 13x cpu multiplier and push fsb to 270 or higher and ram at 2.666:1 cl8/9 :)

Hey I thought the wallpaper was really professional and tech looking
Asus rocks
great mobos and sound cards
I have a Asus M4A77TD mobo and a Asus Xonar DG sound card
the next video card I buy will probably be Asus also
their DirectCU cooling is supposed to be pretty awesome
so there
not a fanboy just appreciate a good product from a good company

well at 13x270 I am still only at 3.5
I would have to go 13x 280 to get 3.6 I really dont think my fsb can go that high
13.5 x 266 would give me 3.6
might be worth a try
with the new ssd bootup and shutdowns are so much faster so it isnt a PITA to try out OCing anymore LOL

actualy, i want to push nb to as high as possible,

because in my system, it helped me to get 5.85x cpu MP Ratio in c11.5, while at stock it was at 5.25x only.

Also are you using C&Q?
And your PSU !?!?

@moto- "So he's a big Lutfij fan, and? " I dont get that reference;what do you mean?

@truegenius- yes CnQ is enabled-I like an OC that CnQ can work with-keeps my idle temp down
-PSU is a Antec Earthwatts 380w 80+ (made by Seasonic actually)
I tried 13.5 x 267=3.6 it ran Intel Burn Test fine but crashed out in P95 blend because the ram was at 1424mhz and I left it at 1.5v
-probably if I raised ram voltage I could get it stable at 3.6 but I dont want to do that-the extra 100mhz isnt worth it

I am pretty happy with a really stable 3.5ghz
I dont want to raise anymore voltages then I have to
100mhz isnt anything I will notice except in benches
