Hey folks. Brand new to posting on this site, but I've always have come to it as a guest for a long time.
So I'm torn about where to start with clocking my cpu on my mobo. I've put some time and research into it and I cannot get my cpu stable at anything higher than 3.7, and I've heard this thing can hit a stable 4.2 No problem
Here's my specs:
Motherboard: MSI 890FXA-GD70
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 T1100
RAM: 16gb 1600hz (Timing 9-9-9-24-2N)
I have liquid cooling so heat shouldn't be an issue.
Life expectancy of the CPU isn't too important considering I will be getting a new one pretty soon.. going with intel next time.
I would like to hit 4.2 and be stable.. but I'm not sure where to start? Do I underclock my ram first or if at all?
Thanks for your support, I'm eager to see what this yields.
