AMD Overdrive DCC Enable option

Hello! I was exploring in the AMD Overdrive program and found in the Memory tab the DCC Enable option. Can anyone tell me what it does and would it be good for gaming? (considering it even works on normal memory sticks)

I have an NVIDIA GPU and the processor is Phenom II x4 980 BE.

Can you copy and paste the exact version of CCC you're running? Should be in the 'Information > Software Update' tab.

I'm not using CCC, I'm using AMD Overdrive.
