AMD overdrive FX 8320

Should I overclock my FX 8320 on with amd overdrive. My motherboard is a Gigabyte M68MT-S2. I posted another thread earlier to see if I should overclock on that board but people didnt recommend it with that board but I heard that with overdrive it has nothing to do with the BIOS and I dont know if that is just some thing that is totally wrong I dont know, Im new to overclocking as I am to amd overdrive. Thanks.

The reason you shouldn't overclock with that board is low end power regulation circuitry, not the bios. MAYBE to 4.0ghz to match the 8350 might be ok. But that is just not an OC board.

so 4ghz is ok on this board? I was going to oc it to 4ghz - 4.2ghz

The FX power draw doesn't usually increases whole lot between 3.5ghz and 4ghz. So your probably ok going to 4ghz.
