AMD Phenom 2 x4 960T: Some help please.

I have come to ask my question mainly out of frustration. I recently got this processor and am trying to unlock the extra two cores, when I do activate them, BIOS will not recognize it, well it does but as a different CPU a Phenom x6. HWMonitor won't give me any info on it as far as temperature.

My mobo is Asus M4A78LT-M LE

The site says it will support it, I went as far as flashing the BIOS. I'm wondering if anything can be done or if it's worth doing. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes it does wierd things like that. It gives bad information or bad temp readings. If it is showing it as a four core processor instead of dual core and it's stable then it's working fine and I wouldn't worry about it saying it's a siz core.

What you are experiencing when unlocking that processor is completely normal. Run stability tests to verify proper operation.

Hey mate, I have the same Mobo, and I`m gonna buy an unlockable 960t. But ain`t I gonna burn it if I try to unlock it, since this mobo supports only up to 95W processors and the 1065T requires 125w ?
