Question Amd phenom 840 will work with Asus M2N-E

the official site does not say that this processor will work, but I still want to ask if anyone has worked this processor to this mobo

it should support any x4 amd cpus up to 95watts, make sure ure using latest 5001 beta bios

My bios is 5001 but in official site phenom 840 is not listed compatible

840 is just rebranded athlon ii x4 640
even phenom 955 will work on that mobo

5001 bios added some more support for am3 cpus, dunno why they didnt edit cpu support list
here u can see which cpus people are using with your mainboard
for example phenom 2 850 on first few benchs
