AMD Phenom II X4 955 overclock

I just overclocked my AMD Phenom II x4 955 everything looks fine, temperatures, prime95 didn't fail yest(it's just running for like 30 min now it's all good, but there is one thing which is bugging me, AMD overdrive is saying that my processor is stable at 3.3ghz at 59 degrees Celsius (Will buy another heatsink soon, for now just intend to get it to @3.4 with stock heatsink) but the thing is amd overdrive is saying that it is stable going from 3299mhz to 3300mhz, but cpu-z is now saying my multiplier is 4 and is running at 800mhz which before this .1ghz oc(which is just nothing for now) was showing 3.2 ghz, I think cpu-z is wrong, but which one should I trust, because both amd overdrive and turbo v are saying it is at 3.3ghz with multiplier 16.5 and cpuz saying that multiplier is at x4 ?

Also any suggestions on heatsinks?

Hi, just for curiosity. Do you turn off the Cool'n'Quiet on the BIOS?, and the bets way to OC the processor in from the BIOS, not with AMD Overdrive.

59c at 3.3 is ridiculous, with the stock cooler you should be able to get temps around 55/56c @ 3.5Ghz at the most...

What case do you have? Ambient temp?

and yes just like saint suggested, get rid of AOD unless you are actually going to use Cool n Quiet .....

^+1, i get the same temp with my 955, the stock cooler at 3.8GHz, with a TT V9 case.

I have a antec 900, I realized that like 2h after I posted this here...
Any suggestions of ways I can bring the temperatures down with this setup the way it is?(In one month or two I'm going to buy a new heatsink and decent thermal paste)

The ambient temperatures is around 70 F or 21 C

for the thermal paste I'm going to probably use artic silver 5, and I need suggestions for the heatsink, I was thinking at a cooler master 212+

With an ambient of 21c you should be getting amazing temps...

Better than AS5 and it wont harm your board/no curing time...

Thanks guys, I think i decided what I'm going to do,xD, soon I'm going to buy a good heatsink probably the Hyper 212+ and descent thermal paste, thanks guys for your help, I think I can overclock without help as I just want to get it to 3.7 or 3.8 when I get better cooling, if not probably I'm going to open another thread,🙁

I would also recommend the Scythe Mugen 2, although it is big and it won't let you have a side fan for your case (I have the Antec 902). You can mount the fan in any of the four directions (pushing top/back, pulling top/back), so there's no problem with RAM.
