AMD Phenom II X6 1035T - Crazy Core Temp

I recently installed a Corsair Hydro Series H55 just to quiet my desktop. Which it has done, way better than expected (58db down to 28!). Anyway, I know water cooling systems aren't just for quieting the system, they supposedly cool things down too!

Which brings me to my question. I installed Core Temp 1.0 RC5 and it's reporting a steady temp of 19 C (66 F). Which can't be correct. I keep my home office around 78 F. There is no possible way that cooler is making my CPU colder than ambient temperature. What am I missing here?

Could be the sensor on your mobo or cpu that's giving you a missreading. You can also try speedfan and HWmonitor to see if it gives you any other readings.

You were right. Speedfan reports 40C (104F). So all is well. Thought my pc was breaking the laws of physics for a minute there. Thanks!
