AMD Phenom II x6 1100T Questions.

Hey i'm new to this forum but i was Wondering If the AMD Phenom II x6 1100T can Only do Crossfire or can it do SLI because i was going to buy the GTX 570 and get a second one down the road. Or if i should go with ATI.

If i would know that would be most helpful, because i want to build a good Gaming computer. I dont want to get the I7 because the Hex-cores are way to expensive for me.

Hello and welcome to the forums
SLI/CF capability depends on the chipset you use.New AMD boards only support CF but there are also Nvidia SLI motherboards for AMD CPUs.
So you can you can use 2 GTX 570's if you buy a SLI motherboard.

It has nothing to do with the CPU. SLI or Crossfire is supported (or not supported) by the motherboard.

Crossfire/sli is in no way related to the cpu.

Amd is retarded and locks out SLI on Amd chipsets. There is a way around it ofcourse. Simple software fix

If you want SLI on a AMD mobo, you need use hack SLI that work the same as Crossfire and without problems.

Or just get a motherboard that supports both AMD/SLI setup. Kinda like how Maziar said that in the first response of this thread.

I have two AMD/SLI board setups without hacking or software fixes.

Since you do not know to much about motherboards, go ahead and research them. It will help you in the long run. You can always come back and ask more questions, but at least try first.

You are right, but an AMD SLI mobo has 3 years old at least.

The three year mark will be in August of 2011 for the MSI NF980-G65. Meh, thats not too old.
