AMD Phenom X2 Gigabyte compatibility

Can anyone confirm whether an AMD Phenom II X2 555 CPU is compatible with a GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P motherboard? The guide says it is for the AMD X3 and X4. No mention of the X2.
