So they photo shoped the BIOS screen, cpuz window, prime 95 window, and task manager window?

Although it is odd cpuz list it as a AM2+....when the chip is really an AM3. We need somebody who actually owns a P2 X3 to check CPUz to see if its just wrongly listing it as AM2+

First of all, excuse me for my poor English.

IT IS NOT FAKE AT ALL.

According to some Korean hardware sites, Phenom II x3 710 and 720BE with 0904xxxx stepping can be transformed to Phenom II X4.
(0849xxxx steppings seemed to not work, and other steppings are not imported in Korea, so no idea for other steppings.)

It needs following conditions.

1. working with 790gx&sb750-based boards.(Asrock and Biostar boards are confirmed. Asus seemed to not work)

2. ACC option in BIOS set to per core or auto

Nope, not at all. All those pictures you see of celebrities nude are real. In fact this is real too:

I hear its a new species. Now that you mention it, pretty much 100% of what you see on the internet is real.

Dont be a smart ass. Infact youre the only person that would actually go through the "trouble" of photoshopping some CPUz screens to make a tri into a quad.

Just because you dont WANT to believe something dosent mean you need to start spouting "FAKEZZ LULZ". Give it a chance, dont be afraid that it can 1up your E8500.

These X3's were/are suposedly X4's with the 4th core disabled due to errors I thought. Even if you can enable that 4th core, youre bound to run across a crash/BSOD/error eventually.

Can we get some verification? So far I have heard nothing but bad English and spath ramble on with theories. Anyone on toms with a 3 core phenom confirm this?

It seemed to work flawlessly as quad core. It is a up and coming issue in Korean hardware sites.

I don't think you can understand Korean, but check out this

http://playwares.com/xe/?document_srl=2233323

At least you can see some charts.

This shows that prime 95 works flawlessly with 4 cores.

These even show the difference of power consumption after transforming.

Good link itsmynewid. Pictures from the OP but with more. Pretty convincing I think, and a...odd, but good find. Nobody would go through all that just for a BS "gotcha!".

PhenomII 710 & 720BE with only 0904
ACC support mainboard (Asrock 790GX & Biostar 790GX OK, But Asus M3A78-T NO. Other AM2+ AM3 mainboard are not confirm until now)

Many people Buyed 0904 PhenomII 710&720BE, and maybe our seeing result on today...... or tomorrow.
