Explanation:
I'm not sure what happened to my pc, I didn't use it for one day and it gave me this problem.
At first, i started getting random freeze and i had to do a hard reset everytime it freeze.
It kept freezing after a while of use (I'm not sure the cause of it)
I started reinstalling windows 7 and tried to install my gpu driver (gtx 770). It doesn't seem to install as the loading bar stays still at 1/4 mark. Even the windows update took very long. I don't know what happened pls help, urgent. All i know is the cpu was overclocked to Phenom II x4 B50 from Phenom II x2 550.

ps i'm not sure how to update bios and how to turn off overclock

No, I think he means clear the CMOS - this is eitherr a button on the mobo or a jumper switch on the mobo...

EDIT: You may need to find the model number and do a bit of googling to find a manual for your board. It should explain how to clear the CMOS. Alternatively, you could remove the CMOS battery for 5 minutes.. then put it back. This should also work.

instead of clearing cmos i've tried updating the bios and now i'm able to see the amd processor model. but it shows amd phenom ii x2 550. does this mean it is not overclocked anymore?
