It's not from the cpu. It's from the software. The cpu would give a cpuid
code of 681. The bios then determines the CPU model calculated on that. If
it can't determine what it is, you should get something like this.
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 6
model : 8
model name : Unknown CPU Type
stepping : 1
cpu MHz : 2400.188

BTW, i only use prosussors in my computer, processors are so expansive these

Is this the dyslexic group?

Anyway .. what I meant to say was that when my machine POST, instead
of it displaying 'South Bridge' there is a typo and it reads 'Sourth
bridge'

Not particualarly a big deal but one does wonder about other
'mistakes'
