I get that not everybody likes it, and it has problems, but if it's so terrible why is it still at the top of the play chart? They're averaging ~50% more players than the same time last year.

I'm on this driver because it fixed the CS2 stutter and I didn't bother to enable anti lag+ because performance is already great.

Will stay on it until they update.

They replaced csgo with csgo2 on Steam so its likely it just keeps the stats. You can't play old game now.

7900xtx hardly needs it really. Guess it depends on your display resolution but I don't see a use for it on my 7900xt yet

Oh, wow, I've jumped back into the CS world with part 2, and been having a blast. I didn't know this sentiment even existed!

The reason for that is simple - Valve will deliberately NOT BAN the majority of real cheaters, so the game keeps getting media attention for successively breaking the number of concurrent players. Not to mention all the profits from the marketing of game items. Oh, sure, they will ban a few cheaters every now and then, but if you play a single game of CS and say nobody was cheating, you're either extremely naive or, more likely, a shill.

The response from Valve seems completely tone deaf given that they know about the false trigger. The tech is supported by other competitive online games so chances are it just needs anti-cheat support and Valve chose not to. Guessing AMD will just hard lock the tech from being used with CS2 and that it being pushed publicly was a mistake.

I blame everybody. AMD and the developers are at fault in this.

How can AMD release a feature that clearly was not tested enough, and why aren't game developers more involved in testing of features like this so it doesn't happen?

All sides need to back down, and work together to solve this.
