I have recently bought amd r7 360 for casual gaming but it goes up to 86-88 degrees when playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Also, I tried increasing the fan speed manually but that didn't had any effect on the temperature. I also, enabled the chill mode of AMD adrenaline that also didn't had any effect. I am just concerned about it's life hopefully it won't affect it's life. Although card has no effect on performance, I am getting 60 FPS constantly with maximum + medium (mixed) settings.

So, what is average normal temperature while gaming ?

I have attached AMD monitor overlay for you to check it out.

specs

P.S I haven't overclocked the GPU.

I was looking for details on the Gigabyte's Website and I found that I had the OC version that had 1200mhz clock rate and the original had 1050mhz so in the radeon settings I changed to 1050mhz and voila the temperatures are now at below 80C. And also, there is no significant change in performance or frame rate

I remember Black Flag being a particularly demanding game, so temps such as this don't seem too surprising. My best advice would be to try to increase case circulation with a side fan, or if your case doesn't have side vents, try removing the side panel.

But, my concern is that would 88 degrees damage the card? is it safe to play the game?
thanks for replying

thanks.
I guess I'll leave the side panel open..
