Hello all.

I finally received all my components and assembled my PC.
Everything seems to be OK, although i am worried about the temperatued of the GPU.
I just played a game of dota 2 (1440p, ultra settings) and the temperature of the GPU was almost all the time at 75oC.
In fifa 16 the temperature waseven higher with 80oC or so.

The temperature of the remaining parts - CPU, MOBA etc seem OK.

And i was wondering. Isnt 75oC too much? I have read before i bought R9 380 that it raises its temperature but i was not really expecting so much for dota 2. What will happen when i play crysis or assasins creed? It will go to 90oC?

I would really appreciate your help.

We're talking about the fan of your graphics card, not your processor.

If you have a Sapphire card, download Sapphire Trixx, and you can regulate the fan speed to regulate your temperature yourself... You can set the fan to be at 100% at 70 °C. That way it'll never overheat.

Generally they can handle up to 90 °C, but it's not healthy to constantly have it at that high temperature.

Did you install the Crimson driver? People are reporting issues of the fan speed being stuck at 20%, causing the card to be hotter than normal. There is a hotfix already in case you're having this problem.

And the rise a bit more to 77-78.

Should i pust the trixx fan speed to fixed, and ioncrease the value to eg 80%?

EDIT; i just tried setting the fan speed to 85%. It lowers a bit the temperature to 71-72oC but the noise is terrible....

well havent really tried that, but even if it does what is the point? :S

well i dont really how, but by fixing the fan speed of the GPU withTrixx at around 65 percent the temperature stayed at an OK value of around 70. So i guess its ok, right?
All the nvidia fans that are so proud of their temperatures, what is the temperature at which their GPU works? i really wonder

Determining if you have an airflow problem.

70 degrees is very normal.
