Hd 7750 supports 3.0x16 pci-e slot, but it can also run on 2.0x16 or 1.0x16 pci-3 slot, that's what I meant to say. And there's not much performance boost if you run your gpu on 3.0x16 than 2.0x16 slot. So it shall work with your motherboard fine.
ok thank you for being so helpful everyone .but there is one more question..sorry to ask questions time and again...
ques 1) a dell person told me that to upgrade my graphic card i would have to change my whole motherboard(amd 785g as told to me by a dell person) ..is it true?and i have seen my motherboard.there is a amd radeon 5450 mounted on it..so i just have to remove that and put the 7750 in its place thats it right?
ques 2) do i have to connect any power supply cable to it separately??
ques 3) the card is amd radeon 7750 "ddr5" and when i look at my pc specs it says memory type "ddr3" will that cause a problem??
pl answer these three questions in detail.and once again thank you everyone for your help and support.
That dell person might have told you that because he want's to sell his motherboard to you so that he could get more profit. It's a simple answer, if hd 5450 can run with your motherboard then surely hd 7750 will run too. And yes, just remove the hd 5450 and place hd 7750 there, and connect your monitor to it and it will work just fine after installing the drivers.
You don't need any external power supply for hd 7750 as it only draws power from the pci-e slot, just like the hd 5450 but is consumes less power than hd 5450.
Hd 7750 has GDDR5 memory but hd 5450 has DDR3 memory. It's showing ddr3 because you are currently using hd 5450. GDDR5 is twice as fast as DDR3 memory. Still, it wouldn't caue any problem.
Happy to help!
