I'm having a major issue with my graphics card

When I update it to the latest version (and reset my computer) the driver does not run and there is no way to launch it. Only a specific version works which my device manager says is 9.2.0.0. I am also unable to open the AMD CCC as it is saying there is no available settings when I try to launch it.

Another issue with my graphics card is that I'm forced to underclock it otherwise it will crash whenever I play a game (Any graphic intense game e.g. Dark Souls 2/3, Dota 2, etc)

This is very upsetting to me because I am forced to play games at the lowest possible quality or I will have an unplayable amount of FPS.

Something that may help anyone willing to reply is that my graphics card's appearance is different from the online websites. Could this be the issue? Is my card simply outdated?

If anyone knows a way that I could fix my driver please reply, it would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
Removing the drivers shouldn't cause issues. If you have problems with graphics after rebooting, go back to safe mode and open device manager. Open the Display Adapters section and tell it to update the driver. Point it to the folder containing the older driver, and make sure search subfolders is on. After you boot normally, run the full installer for the older version you selected.
Well your first problem is trying to play Dark Souls on a 6670... It'll overheat very quickly, and it won't be able to handle the graphics load. If this is a recent problem I'd hazard a guess that you overheated it for the last time.
One thing that MAY help is to try to revert to an older graphics driver version. Try a clean install from this guide, and then install the older known working driver version. AMD by default saves its installers to C:\AMD\, look for one that was working in there so you don't have to re-download it.

Oh and Dark Souls 3 is known to crash older GPUs. It's a driver bug mostly, and affects Nvidia more.

Thank you for the reply

This issue has been happening since I installed the driver. And the link you gave me will cause my graphics card to break and not load if I do any changes to it.

Are you running the Ati model of graphics card on a tower based system on a Pci-e interface.

Or is the card or Ati graphics chip you are talking about a mobile chip set model for example incorporated into a laptop as the main 3d graphics card solution of it.

If it`s the first, a pci-e based card in a tower based system.
How long has the card been in the system?

And when was the last time you checked it for any excess dust build-up clogging the the cooling fins of the colling solution on the card, mainly between the fan and the front part of the cooling solution.

If it`s running hot, and the card has been in the system for a year or more I suggest you have a look to see if it needs dust removing from it.

The new Ati crimson driver if you are downloading that and trying to install it and run it.
Are not meant or compatible with the 6670 range of card and the driver does not support them.

Try using the older legacy drivers that Ati still provide.
On there driver download and support page.

Below is the Catalyst 15.7 driver suite.
It will work with windows 7, 8.0, 8.1
