Hello,
I'm trying to setup an old computer with a three monitor configuration. The graphics card has 2 DVI (one single link and one dual link it appears), 1 HDMI, and 1 Display port.
We have 3 monitors, 2 monitors only have 1 HDMI port and 1 VGA port. The other has HDMI, VGA and Display.
The configuration we're trying is currently 2 DVI to HDMI cables, and 1 Display cable. For some reason only two monitors show up, and the third shows up but has small resolution and won't become active (says it's disconnected & the settings wont change. This is in the display settings). The AMD Radeon software only detects two monitors.
I've tried doing just 1 DVI, 1 Display Port, and 1 HDMI to get it working. Nothing works. Weirdly enough, when I unplug one monitor, the "disconnected" one turns active.
There was a similar thread awhile ago in 2016 https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/ati-radeon-hd-7800-series-with-3-monitors.2670920/, but it didn't give me much information.
Not sure if buying this star tech adapter would really change anything.
Any insight/info would be appreciated to get this working.
I've also checked windows updates and installed drivers/even rolled back. Nothing has worked as of yet.
Thanks
