Hi, I've got the following build:

MB: Asus M5 A97 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 6300
GPU: XFX AMD Radeon HD 7870
RAM: Kingston 2x4GB DDR3 1600
HDD: Seagate 500GB
SSD: Kingston 60GB
PSU: Corsair CS450M

TV: Toshiba 32w1333db

and at the moment I'm having no sound over HDMI port from the graphics card.

For some context, I've had this build for a couple years already but recently took it apart and moved it abroad with a different PSU (previously had the Corsair CX500). Never had problems with audio because I've always used external speakers connected directly to the motherboard.

Now that I've connected it to a TV through HDMI I get normal visual but no audio. But I get audio from the motherboard (tested with headphones on the 3.5m jack port).
I've googled possibly every thread containing similar issues to no avail.

- I've used the same HDMI cables to connect the TV to different laptops and raspberry pis and all works fine with sound (even though I can't be sure i get sound on the raspberry Pi, but I'm most positive i do)
- I've tried using different HDMI cables
- I've tried using different HDMI ports on the TV
- I've went to sound devices on the task bar and predefined "AMD High Definition Audio Device"
- I've went to Device Manager and disabled/enabled that same "AMD High Definition Audio Device"
- My graphics drives are up to date
- I've just updated the windows media package (or whatever it's called)

I've seen somewhere there might be an option on your BIOS to redirect sound to the graphics card (not sure if true) but whenever i try to access my BIOS the TV scales it to be too big to fit on the screen and can only see a small part of the BIOS.

I don't know what else to do, that's why I'm turning to you in hopes you've got any suggestions. :/
My last resort will be to buy a new set of speakers but really wanted to avoid that at the moment.

Thank you.
