I've ordered the AMD Radeon HD 7870 OC Windforce 3X 2048MB for £250, can someone please reassure me that I've made the right choice in GPU...I do hope i have... xD

The Windforce is an amazing cooler. Even when torturing my 7970s with Furmark the temps are in the mid 70s even when overclocked to 1200

Wow, nice. How about the GPU itself, have i made a good choice with a 7870? I'm pairing it with an i5 3450.

The 7870 is pretty much the best AMD card out right now in terms of value. I know the 7900's are faster, but they are more expensive and are beaten by their Nvidia counterparts. With a good overclock on a custom Windforce 7870, you'll be right up there playing with the big guns. And to top it off, you got one of the best 7870 models.

I'm well happy now, i have no clue how to overclock though so i'll stick with the factory OC. Thanks for putting my mind at rest

Yes, very. They are extremely quiet even under load

The Windforce is 3X, and actually for twin fans...some feedback on newegg indicate a little noise with Gigabyte HD 7850 twin models.
