AMD Radeon R9 270X Compatibility question.

Will a Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X be compatible with my current system?

APU: AMD A10-5700 3.4ghz
Current GPU: AMD Radeon 8570
RAM: 8 GB
OS: windows 7 Professional 64bit
Motherboard: MSI 2AE0
Crappy power supply, a 300w one for all I know

So will this GPU be compatible with rig or maybe I have to buy a new psu as well?
Any answer is appreciated.

so you might want 250-270W(DC) or 23amps on the +12v rail.

I don't know what your power supply provides, but it doesn't look good. If you can find the specs for the +12v rail you can decide if you want to risk it to save money or just go ahead and get a new power supply.

Alright, so, I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to power supplies. Getting a power supply with how much amount of $$ would involve me not having to rack my brains out and set fire to my PC? Would a rather new, 60-100$ power supply do?

(these prices are just estimates, in live in eastern EU lol.)

Yeah, for $100, you can get a pretty good power supply that might last you across several computers.

I don't know how they are priced in the EU. Is there a particular store you like to purchase from in the EU that maybe we could pull some suggestions from that store?

Also, let me add that those two models are way beyond what you need. Your computer will not use nearly all that power they provide. You could probably get a much cheaper model that still provides all you need ... however, I don't really have a list of cheaper models right now.

I do not know about Gigabyte power supplies; maybe they are decent, considering they make motherboard... or maybe they aren't; I don't know. Do you see any Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, or Enermax brands?

The only Corsair power supply fitting my price range is this one Corsair CP-9020050 550W, ATX2.3 (copy pasted the whole name)

Anyways, at these price ranges you are getting into power supplies that are using slightly lower quality parts (like lower quality capacitors). But I understand the need to save some money ... and perhaps you may never notice any issues.
