Question AMD Radeon RX 5700XT support for linux

I want to buy the new AMD GPU Radeon but i don't know if is supported for linux or is a good choice.

they will but since AMD is pushing open source driver with linux most often they don't have proper driver for quite sometime after official launch.

So not a good choice should i wait for 5-6 months after the first release or go for nvidia ? Thanks for the info
