Is disabling ultra-low power state really a thing for AMD Radeon card users?

I heard it fixes a lot of problems some users have and don't know how to fix. Apparently this was the problem.

Can't remember where to find this. I know it's in registry but I don't wanna botch it. I also heard MSI afterburner could do it.

Anyone here has done it?

Solution
I suppose you can experiment with the settings. I see little, or no, value in messing with this.

Let us know how this turns out.

Not really a thing from my perspective (lets discuss here and not at TG as this is a desktop PC question).

Is this the rig in question (from your sig) that is under performing?

  • Aorus B450 mini ITX wifi MB
  • 2TB SSD
  • Sapphire Pulse RX 5600XT
  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • 16Gb RAM

What is the make/model of your PSU? Is your memory 2x8 or 1x16?

I only ever needed to disable ULPS when I ran Crossfire HD5870/HD5850, for some reason with ULPS on I had issues with dual monitors and it would cause flickering at idle. But on a single card, not really worth messing with, it could be useful for them people who do subzero cooling to keep it from getting too cold, but that's about it.
