This proposed platform is based on the following assumptions:-
● A ground up triple core is the sweet spot for main stream users
● AMD cannot beat Intel in the Fab game or in the CPU architecture push (for now) so it should concentrate of a superior Chipset
● A unified chipset (ala nVidia 9400m) with striped down I/Os but an integrated entry level ATi 5000-series GPU core is very attractive because it reduces motherboard complexity and size.
● Optional GDDR5 Sideport memory for the IGP further distance the chipset from its Intel and nVidia peers
● a 25~50 watt power envelope for the CPU and a 20 watt envelope for the Chipset allows it to be used in Notebooks as well as Desktops*
