C70... They need to update this chip with new architecture and a die shrink. They are much better suited to my needs than the atom, and I would like to have one in a windows 8 tablet.

You know what, AMD needs to ANNOUNCE this stuff when they release it. OEM processors or not, if people don't know about it, then they don't buy it... *hint* *hint*

They must work on the Architecture rather than just kinda factory-OCed the chips.

They are doing that and the whole new platform next year on 28nm with tamesh and kabini. The cpu will have more than 2x the performance of bobcat with the same tpd. The gpu performance is expected to double as well.

They are already working on their cores! Jaguar comes out next year with up to 4 cores and down to 4 watts! The only reason they didn't come out with something new this year is because they are already winning! They already have Intel in the bag when it comes to their Atom processor! Why come out with something better if you're already winning in that sector? It just doesn't make any business sense for AMD to come out with anything new at this time! Next year will be the year to look forward too, not only in AMD's lower end APU's, but their entire lineup!

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]*yawn* Same old garbage...[/citation]

If that where the situation, People wouldn't buy their current products! It's just bad business! Just like Cell Phone companies! If you announce that you are coming out with a product better than the product you already have, You make stocks go down and you make people anxious for only that new product! Say goodbye to income on the products you are trying to sell right now! Why get this when I can get something better in a few months/weeks/days/ time? That is the reason these companies don't announce their product until they are ready to sell them!

Who said anything about better? While these new processors have lower TDPs, they won't perform as well because there are less graphics cores. The addition of these processors creates greater portfolio diversity for the A-series APUs.
