you are wasting material and money making this low end stuff. it has no actual use (u can get cheaper old gpu if u only need display).

Nvidia's lowest card is a GT 1030 DDR4. A godawful abomination that should've never been hatched.

Its second lowest card is a GT 1030 GDDR5. I assume that the 6300 is supposed to perform equal to or greater than that.

Maybe it won't. Maybe it'll be super-cheap, and out there for people who need multiple displays, beyond the outputs that the motherboard provides for the iGPU.

Hell, the GT 730 still sells, so, why not this?

The GT 1030 was originally designed for HTPCs, not gaming PCs. It can drive a 4k 60hz panel. It had the misfortune to come out during the last crypto mining boom, so it got shoehorned into budget gaming.

Gamingwise, the lowest Nvidia product was a GTX 1650. The LP versions are slower versions of their full size counterparts. Only 3 AIBs made LP versions, and all of them had issues.

If you wanted to make a $40 GPU today, you'd need to go with UMA graphics (0GB) that is so low-power that the heatsink can be omitted.

BTW, even the GT210 originally launched at $70. For you to buy one at $40 or less, it must have been a clearance sale or used since this was likely below cost.

And the RX 6400 competes with the GTX 1650.

Why do you believe the RX 6300 is designed with gaming PCs in mind?

I couldn't imagine a 5300 outdoing a 5700g APU. It would be close, too close. And to be honest a 5700g is barely faster than a 3400g. It is by about 20% give or take last I checked on graphics benchmarks. But that's so low end to begin with it's not worth buying if you have a 2400g or 3400g. It's like strapping a mower engine to your car and expecting it to go 55.

So basically it's not a gaming card unless it can do 1080p/60 on most games. (AAA like cyberpunk 2077/rdr2 excluded)

This card probably works well on the mobile space, less so on the desktop space. Having said that, if I am getting a laptop with AMD processor, I think the RDNA2 iGPU is probably a better and more efficient solution. This is simply a waste of sand and any resources required to make the card.

These are failed dies from 6500XT production. No wasted material, in fact, it will be using material that would very likely, otherwise, be going to waste.

In a world where GT 1030s are still selling for $120 why not feed scraps into this market?

Think of the millions of crapbox OEM systems sold with Intel IGPUs over the last decade that can't even hit 30FPS in the least demanding games. These systems are the only thing first time PC buyers in third world countries can afford. The 6300 @ $100 allows them to actually start gaming. So this GPU is not targeted at you or anyone else on this message board, The RX550/560 is no longer in production so this is just AMD re entering a market that Nvidia has gone unchallenged in.

Its not like AMD is going to have a lot of failed dies to feed this market anyway,
