I went from deciding I wanted to upgrade cpu to realizing I have to upgrade the motherboard, ram, and, psu as well, to deciding to do a full upgrade.
Current build (all from 2012 except gpu 2015)
cpu: AMD Phenom IIx4 965 Black Edition
motherboard: Asus MA597
Ram: 8gb Kingston DDR3
GPU: MSI AMD R9 270 2gb
PSU: Corsair GS600
I am currently looking into a RX 580. Is the Sapphire worth the extra cost over the ASrock (I know Sapphire has been doing gpus for a long time and ASrock is new to them)

Or is an upgrade not really worth it? Play primarily older RTS games, KOTOR, and minecraft. So I want to put most of my money toward cpu, will be waiting for the new amds.
