Question AMD RX5700 not reaching maximum boost/lower GPU score in 3Dmark

Hi guys,

I was testing my GPU score in 3Dmark three months ago and I got 24,155 at 1720MHz. Tried testing it a few more times and I'm not able to reach the same score again. Last testing resulted in GPU score of 23,846 at 1701MHz. Updated my GPU to the latest AMD drivers, never did any overclocking or anything. What could be causing this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

There could be lots of reasons, some of which can be about your current environment, current applications running, and more. Sometimes later driver updates can make little sacrifices in benchmark performance for benefits in other areas. Sometimes outdated BIOS can cause some hardware to suffer to gain in performance.

In my honest view, as I saw with many others, I wouldn't worry about the benchmark results, just enjoy gaming with it (assuming that's what you're doing!) - far too often we see people going down a rabbit hole with benchmarks when ultimately there is no problem.

If you're not having an actual problem in real application, I wouldn't worry :)
