I've seen comparisons on the R5 n I5 in streaming. But how does it stack up to the i7 n r7 for streaming? I plan on building a pc soon, and i wanna Game n Stream. Im able to afford either 3, but i just wanna know how they stack up against each other. Thanks in advance :)

Solution
The i7 is a better choice, unless you're rendering and video editing on the side, Ryzen is overkill in terms of threads, half of it won't be utilized.
What's your budget and what do you need included in it?
If you are truly going to be spending a lot of your time streaming (with a quality built system to support it) then the 8-core Ryzen do offer some compelling arguments.
Average frame rates tend to be higher on the i7 due to its faster overall speed, but while streaming it seems to suffer slightly in frame dips leading to a "subjectively" choppier experience, than the 8 core Ryzen (I suspect this is from the i7 having to rely more on hyperthreads in scenarios where the 1700 does not)

If you are software encoding, there appear to be certain advantages in Ryzen's favor with the additional threads of the 8 core over the 7700k.

The 6-core Ryzen and 4 Core ryzen; I have not seen direct comparisons to the 8 core or 7700k during streaming.
However, when comparing the benchmarks of the 8 core ryzen to the 6 core, I did notice that overall the 8 core's had less/lower and more variable % of utilization of cores/threads when compared to the Ryzen 6 core at the same moment. Meaning the 6 core was maxing out utilization in game when the 8 core still had idle threads (which could be used to handle the streaming/encoding)
Which means there are less available resources to handle the streaming aspects on the 6 core ryzen. (Personally I think there would be a noticeable decrease in performance)

But without a direct comparison, there can only be speculation
Therefore, assuming you have a sufficient GPU to push higher frame rates and quality (GTX 1070 and above) I suspect you would be better served by either the 1700 or the 7700k over a 6 core or less Ryzen.

@Spring1898, unless he's rendering and uploading to YT or the like, just streaming will be covered perfectly fine by an i7, not worth the sacrifice of the extra frames and higher clock speeds presented by the Intel imo.
Even if he were to do this it would still perform admirably.
