Hey

So I am in the process of picking new parts for my new PC setup, the main components are:

ASRock B450M-HDV Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB
550W PowerCool Power Supply (1 Year old)

(Before anyone points out my low watt PSU, I have already ordered a 750W EVGA Powersupply because I may be putting a 1060 as the graphics card in the future)

But what CPU is the best match for the above?

Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GhZ

Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GhZ
https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=scpuamd1200&categoryName=processors-amd&superCatName=computing&title=amd-ryzen-3-1200-(3.1ghz)-am4

Ryzen 5 1400 3.2GhZ
https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=scpuamd1400&categoryName=processors-amd&superCatName=computing&title=amd-ryzen-5-1400-(3.2ghz)-am4

Also, will this platform be able to run modern games with a reasonable FPS? I am thinking around 60-100 FPS for games like PUBG, ARMA, Battlefield etc.
Thank you.

Honestly, one of my friends has a setup with a Samsung 4K 144 Hertz monitor and I really like his setup, very crisp and excellent graphics. I don't mind gaming in 1080P to be honest, whatever is doable in accordance to my setup, I want to be able to play a badly optimised game like PUBG with a decent enough setup that isn't going to break my bank.

I think I am going to go with a Ryzen 5 2600 and a 1070, I checked it with the bottleneck calculator and it's at a score of 0.13 - my friend who is quite good with computer setups also reccommends me getting a Ryzen 5 2600 simply because it has six cores and is excellent for modern games.

I'll easily dish out a couple hundred pounds.. thanks for the input fellas.
Which Samsung...

A good 550w power supply, which the Powercool was not, can handle a GTX 1070 without issue... unfortunate that you already shelled out for a 750w unit.

4K, what? Watching videos at 4K? Editing 4K videos? 4K gaming?

2200G is slightly faster in games. For everything else - Ryzen 1400.

Do you already have a 4K monitor? If not, then I would suggest going with a lower resolution. 4K is ridiculously demanding on video cards. Considering that you're going low end CPU, and low-ish-to-mid GPU, I don't see how you're going to manage 4K.

And I will very strongly reiterate what @Phaaze88 has said - bottleneck calculators are complete rubbish.

Which Samsung montior? There are no 4K144Hz Samsung monitors as far as I know. Only Asus and Acer, they cost too much.

On top of that, no current GPU can do 144FPS in all games at 4K. Not even next gen GPUs can.
Stock 2080Ti is under 50fps at 4KUltra in AC Odyssey. With lowering useless settings and OCing I get 67FPS.

Samsung CJG52 - This is where my friend got his from, he bought it for £220 on reduced sale about 5 months ago, price has increased since to £340

But like I said before, it was merily an idea but I am happy to game with 1080p seen as 4K can be intensive on the GPU..

I will settle for a 1920 x 1080 AOC or Acer monitor, It's really not an issue to be honest.

This is not 4K. Its 1440p. You will be fine with 1080p.

For my eyes, 28" is way too small for 4K (3840x2160) resolution.

It appears that the 32" monitor (2560x1440 resolution) doesn't have any adaptive sync technology at all, neither FreeSync nor GSync.

I would not choose either of them.

Yeah I agree but when I checked out my friends, it seemed quite reasonable, I guess it's personal preference tbh
But seen as I am not trying to break my bank, i am gonna stick with 1920 x 1080 monitor

As you already have a discrete GPU, pondering the 2200G/2400G (or 3000-series G models) is pointless...

There are some excellent prices on R5-1600,1600AF, 2600 processors these days, and that would be a good starting point, certainlymore than enough to saturate a GTX1050

Would it be sufficient enough to allow me to play modern game titles with a reasonable FPS? I have had trouble in the past with overheating and frame stuttering.

Also would it be okay to pair a Ryzen 5 2600 with a GTX 1050 with 2GB VRAM?
