Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade my pc by changing my CPU, Motherboard and RAM Memory.
And after reading a bunch I still can't really figure out what Motherboard and RAM I need to get with the AMD CPU. The only reason I'm upgrading is Premiere Pro and little bit of After Effects.
So I was hoping someone on this forum has experience with the parts that are most compatibel with the Ryzen 5 CPU. The Ram memory I would like to get up to 16gb, and the motherboard needs room for 2 screens, 2ssd's and 2 harddrives. I don't think I will overclock the cpu unless there are some really good reasons.

Thank you in advance!

Solution
for the ryzen system you could look at some msi board and you will also need a gpu that will support 2 screen for the ram get one from qvl list that use samsung b-die at least 3200 in speed .

The ASRock X370 Taichi is a wonderful motherboard for ryzen, when it comes to ram I would get Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666 mhz (DDR4) the motherboard has 8 sata ports so you could fit in up to 8 HHD/SSD (if you don't have an optical), it depends on the graphics card you have to decide weather or not you can setup a dual monitor setup

yeah one of the MSI boards I was looking at is the MSI B350 PC MATE, and was thinking of pairing it up with
the F4-3200C14D-16GFX (flareX). But now I'm reading FlareX's are a bit overpriced, so do you have a good sugestion for any good ram that pairs up nice with the board?

An ASRock x370 Taichi would be a better preforming mobo

Sure don't doubt that, its just that when I'm spending like 200 on a motherboard it feels kinda silly not going for the Ryzen 7 and getting more Ram. And I'm now working on a prehistoric i3 so the change will allready be pretty big.
Or is it performance whise a really big deal?

The preformance wise isn't that big of a deal but if you went with a x370 you could overclock a 1600 pretty well and get it probably just as fast and close to the same preformance as a 1700 or 1700x
