AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor only using 1 core and 2 logical processors?

I have task manager open with details and as said in title 6 core processor but below sockets is cores and logical processors. I only see 1 core and 2 logical processors being used. Also I went into System Configuration and set processors at 2 (which was the highest setting as I thought there were 6), am I misinformed on something? Or Is there something not right?

Go back and set processors to 1 you only have 1, that's for multi CPU configurations.


Is this a fresh install of Windows or did you reuse if from a previous build?

If you use temp monitoring software does it recognize all cores and do all of them warm up when running benchmarks?

Its fresh installation. every part in my pc is new EXCEPT for the hard drive which i was thinking about rewiping clean. Also I had a friend say that there should be 12 threads and 6 cores possible, but no matter what game i try it out on only 1 core is being used. And I just updated BIOS today and within BIOS I see 6 cores.

No no no no.

Do not ever set any processors. Go into the System Configuration, and unselect that whole option about processsors, and then make reboot. Then lets see if the problem persists.
