Hi, i received AMD Ryzen 5 3600 as a gift, need help to build around it, low budget build, it's been a while. Gaming rig, some video editing, nothing crazy. Mobo preferably that does not requires update of bios right away. My budget is $400-500. Country USA. No need for monitor, just oc it self.
Thanks in advance.

Solution
B450 is still cheaper than B550 but is being phased out, look for sales. Do spend over $120 tho, pay close attention to the vrm heatsinks around the cpu socket. Some cheap boards don't have any.:(
Memory isn't too bad at the moment, a 16gb kit of Corsair Vengence LPX will run you between $60 and $70.
Use Pcpartpicker.com to find all the parts you need.
Two parts that are gonna hit the wallet hard will be the Power Supply (import tax) and Graphics card (they are all crap under $159)

Nice!

Get a b550 motherboard, Corsair CV550 80+ Bronze, 16gb 3200mhz kit, NZXT 510 as a case, 120gb m.2 for the OS, 1tb Seagate or WD, GTX 1660 Super or RTX 2060 Super if you can.

thoughts on EVGA - 700W ATX12V /EPS12V 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply DC-DC Technology - EVGA - 700W ATX12V /EPS12V 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply DC-DC Technology - Black? for $75
700 is a bit overkill for me...
can't find any non modular at decent price yet.

700 is the max wattage you can build your pc to, not how much wattage it crams thru your parts. It's nice to have headroom in case you want to buy some 400 watt GPU some time down the road. Also, if the power supply has an eco mode or smart fan, running well below it's rated wattage can allow zero rpm fan operation for lower noise.

Modular psu doesn't matter so much if your case has a shroud or basement. Ketchup and mustard wires can be handled with sleeved extensions if you desire.

Depends on the board, the B550 M Pro4 is under 120$ and has a big ass heatsink! Actually bigger than the ATX part.

It's an EVGA Power supply, so that basically means it's good enough for your build.
