Thinking about picking up a laptop with the following specs. I've been using a desktop for years at this point, running with an intel i7-7700k cpu, and know very little about AMD products. The specs for the laptop I'm thinking of purchasing are below. Is would primarily be used for streaming and some light gaming, specifically FFXIV Shadowbringers. Anyone experienced with AMD know if this is a decent pickup for $650?

It's not hard finding something with better specs, this is just from a 10 seconds search. You should really be doing your shopping around Black Friday and Cyber Monday and include both online sales and any local stores like Best Buy, this typically is the time they want to get rid of last years inventory with a hefty price drop.

If you're doing gaming and streaming simultaneously, then I'd ask you to look at something more powerful or that you should settle for reduced gaming and/or streaming details. If it's just for streaming while the desktop does the gaming duties, then you're fine.

What other options do you have at your disposal for a laptop purchase?

I'm honestly flexible. My parents just pointed this laptop out to me as it is currently on sale on QVC. I'm primarily an intel user so I don't even know what to look for when it comes to AMD

That was my biggest concern. From what I was reading it didn't seem like it would do too well. I'm hoping to at least find a decently priced mid ranged performance laptop eventually. But there is no rush. Thank you for the advice
