I wonder if they could make some choices in the name of battery duration, like an HD screen, six or quad-core options, lower-power SSDs, etc. Because playing at gorgeous graphics for 30 minutes is not as fun as playing at OK graphics for two hours.

The AMD version should give you more than twice the playing time then the intel version based on the tdp, and you can always adjust your settings to extend your battery life.
