I am building a new PC for ryzen 3600x or 3700x or 2700x for which while comparing the chipsets of motherboard I found the difference except the input output ports in x570 b550 mainly of pcie gen 4

But what is chipset uplink and general purpose lanes technical mean and what role in motherboard processor performance as in x570 chipset uplink and general purpose lanes is gen4 and in b550 its gen3 .

Benchmark for reference

As in benchmark scores with 3600x 3700x 3900x on b350 b550 x570 does not shows any performance differences in scores

Will these chipset uplink and general purpose lane effects pcie gen 3 and pcie gen 4 effects in video editing rendering or graphics designing work with 3600x or 3700x or 2700x

Chipset uplink is how it's connected to the processor. General purpose lanes are what the chipset provides for other uses like extra PCIe slots. Note the primary x16 slot for the GPU and the primary M.2 slot for NVMe SSDs gets its lanes...

As far as affecting the performance of video editing or graphics design, my take on it is no. Video editing is still mostly processor intensive enough that it won't saturate the PCIe 3.0 x4.

hotaru.hino thanx for replying and giving ur precious time and advice

Then what's and how much the practical effect of chipset uplink and general purpose lanes pcie 3 Or pcie 4 on performance bandwidth of data transfer rate latency between nvme or graphoc caed on pcie slot and in which type of work gaming programming designing 3d AutoCAD will it effect or reflect or useful
If it effect s on bandwidth or latency then how much minutes seconds milliseconds or nano seconds difference will it reflect is it major or.minor.

Actually I want to rebuild a new PC for teaching and professional work of 3d max Maya AutoCAD and premiere after effects and video rendering

I am planning to purchase Ryzen 7 Pro 4750g or 4650p or ryzen 3700x 3600x or 2700x with gpu 1650 super
As 4000 5000 seroes is supportrd with b550 x570 currently and for x470 b450 beta bios update will be releaaed net year. so I am not much intrested with etc slots of usb but i am more concerned with bandwidth performance speed bandwidth latency to invest decide which motherborard chipset will be good b450 or x470 as have chipset uplink and lanes of pcie gen2 and b550 chipset uplink and lanes with pcie gen3 and x570 pcie gen
