Question AMD Ryzen Master vs MSI Command Center temperatures

Hi! MSI CC shows me higher temperatures than Ryzen Master. I've Ryzen 3600 with SilentiumPC Fortis 3 cooler.

In idle Ryzen Master shows like 33-35 Celsius while MSI CC shows at least 5-10 degrees more. Both jump higher, but Ryzen Masters is much more consistent. MSI CC jumps from 36 to 46 like in a second, then cools slowly.


Which one should I trust? If it's MSI is 40-45 ok for a Ryzen 3600?

Ryzen Master is pretty accurate. I'd stick with that.

The bump in temps by 10c when you do something, is typical of Ryzen processors. Its nothing to worry about.

Your temps ideally should be: Idle 30-35, gaming 45-65. stress load 70-80c (trying to keep it under 80c)

I use HWMon/info, and when you compare to Ryzen master, should be the same. I'd say it's just MSI CC is missing an update, or something like that.

HWMonitor shows same results as MSI CC. 30-35 idle seems impossible, even if it reaches 35-36 it jumps to 45 and cools down slowly, rarely going down under 39-40.

Btw. the bumps happen even if I'm not doing anything, the CPU just goes from 3600 to 4125 mhz for a second.

It's a very 'bursty' chip. This behavior is very startling to some of us; it'll take some time to adapt.
