I'm building a new PC based on a AMD Ryzen procesor, i was looking for a ram kit online and i ran into this. >> https://ddstore.mk/products/RAM-DDR4-16GB-%282x8GB%29-3000MHz-G.SKILL-Trident-Z-RGB-F4-3000C16D-16GTZR/pid/928446 <<
And this >> https://ddstore.mk/products/RAM-DDR4-16GB-%282x8GB%29-2933MHz-G.SKILL-Trident-Z-RGB-%28For-AMD-Ryzen%29-F4-2933C16D-16GTZRX/pid/922762 <<
Both ram kits are the same on the outside but one of them says that is specifically for an AMD Ryzen CPU.
The price difference between them it's like 70$. Would it hurt if i get the cheaper one, even if i do, would it work with my system at all ?

What is the make and model of the motherboard you want to build around? On another note what processor are you looking at? In theory you can drop just about any ram onto any board so long as it conforms to the slots you want to drop them in.

You also will need to make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard before you drop high spec'd ram on a Ryzen motherboard. Since the latest AGESA code updates, you can work with any rams. The fact that one ram kit is advertised to be meant for AMD means that it was tested from the factory. The one that isn't will need some time and tinkering in BIOS to get to the advertised frequency.

Also, look for DDR4-3200MHz dual channel ram kits for Ryzen, not 3000MHz.

I have MSI B450 A Pro and running Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz at its speed which isn't in motherboard QVL list.

i have MSI A320m Pro-Vh Plus mb the highest ram speed compatibility is 3200mhz

I had run into the same thing while doing my build.

Basically put, "Intel/AMD compatible" stickers just mean that they had been tested with these setups, and they'll %90 work fine with the other specs. If you are paranoid like me search up "(ram's model) + ryzen/amd" and it should give you an overview. Some companies like Kingston test their systems on both, and will add the make numbers as compatible on their site. So yeah, don't get intimidated by those stickers. Processors are unlikely to complain about RAM sticks, even AMD processors just tell you "any ram with ddr4 up to this frequency", so not much. Go for dual channel though, and always aim for high frequencies, as Ryzen processors are efficient in taking advantage of extra RAM frequency. Don't look that it tells up to 2933 mhz, it'll handle and run more without problem, all in warranty.

However the part that will complain about it is the motherboard. Always check the compatibility lists on your motherboard. An item not being in it doesn't mean it won't do, however you would be betting a bit.
