Question AMD Ryzen workstation upgrade or switch to Intel?

Hi Forum.
I currently have a light gaming setup, I work on automation and I use AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks mostly, I would like to improve my setup to use it as an in office workstation.
Now I do this work on my laptop( Dell Precision M4700), but I would like to get a more solid desktop PC to further updates.
This is my currently setup, I'm planning on spending around 400Dlls to improve this to a workstation.
The other option is to sell this setup and get a intel setup with a budget of 700Dlls.
Storage is not an issue as I can geat really nice prices on SSD locally.

I'm not sure that any of those parts would be really suitable for a workstation. I don't know what kind of horsepower your software requires though. It's a decent little budget rig but I'd probably flip it and upgrade to Ryzen 3000 when they come out in a couple of months. 2000 parts should be much cheaper after 3000 launches. Around black friday the deals will be crazy on 2nd gen. 1st gen ryzen is dirt cheap now. Especially if you have a Micro Center in your area. Intel just isn't very compelling with a $700 budget at the moment.
