AMD Spectre Fix Performance Drag

I just updated my gfx card driver and motherboard BIOS and am now supposedly safe from both Spectre and meltdown according to the testing apps. But I noticed a lowering of my Time Spy score. Is this due to the BIOS fix or the gfx card driver? Or is the 'fix' not the issue maybe?

I've read some posts here that claim no performance loss with the BIOS update. That's why I ask?

I couldn't detect any slowdown caused by those fixes on my Ryzen system because of threat mitigations (SMU 43.18) Latest BIOS with AGESA 1.0.0.2a.
Since you did BIOS update it's back to factory defaults, did you optimize it after the update ?

Hi CountMike. Yep, went back in BIOS and reset the few changes again that I had made. I'm not running any OC right now anyway.
Ryzen 5-1600X
Asus TUF B350M Plus
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB
Evga GTX 1070 SC

Since Time Spy benchmark is heavily GPU oriented, might be a problem with GPU drivers or settings.

Oh, that's right. Didn't Nvidia make some driver changes as well to combat Spectre/Meltdown?
